Yorkshire Rugby Series success
The Yorkshire Rugby Series continues to grow and provide the opportunity for schools to get involved in some rugby.
Since the beginning of March, Dave and Tom have worked together to begin the admin for the upcoming 2021/22 Yorkshire Rugby Series. The Yorkshire Rugby Series, powered by White Rose Rugby, continues to provide festivals for the upcoming 2021/22 season and beyond. The festivals’ aim is to promote the opportunity for all to give rugby a go in a non-competitive and development based environment, certainly numbers not being a barrier with cooperation and collaboration, fun and support, the priority.
The Yorkshire County Schools Union, Yorkshire RFU and ourselves are over the moon with the current entries received for the upcoming year. The figures continue to grow, going to show the strength of rugby in schools within Yorkshire. Our current figures can be seen below.
We currently have 82 schools from around the county taking part. Those schools have entered a total of 424 teams. The teams include Year 7-11 Boy’s and Girls, as well as 1st team Boy’s. There will be 302 festivals that take place at various schools and rugby clubs. We will also be running 2 days of rugby events which will run in the same format of previous years.
We are excited to get the upcoming Yorkshire Rugby Series under way and look forward to receiving more entries. Dave and Tom will continue to answer any questions you may have and lend a hand if you are looking at entering a team. To enter your team please click here.
Exciting times ahead!
