What is CBRE All Schools?
CBRE All Schools will increase the number of secondary state schools playing rugby union in England. It is one of England Rugby’s major legacy programmes for the World Cup in 2015, presenting a once-in-a-generation opportunity to deliver the greatest participatory legacy for the game.

When was it launched?
September 2012.

What does CBRE All Schools aim to achieve?
All Schools aims to promote the idea that rugby union is a game for All Schools – everyone can play it and every school can teach it. Our aim is to have 400 schools enrolled by September 2015 and 750 schools by 2019.

How does CBRE All Schools work?
In partnership with the Rugby Football Foundation, CBRE All Schools supports state secondary schools over three years to help them start and sustain playing rugby union, with kit and equipment, coaching, student volunteer training and links to a local club. England Rugby provides resource and funding into each school period to build school activity, capacity and sustainability.

How many schools are involved?
Roughly 100 schools have joined CBRE All Schools each September since the programme launched in 2012. Schools are in 30 to 35 clusters of between two and four schools across England. Each CBRE All Schools cluster has at least one donor club.

How are schools selected?
The schools are identified by England Rugby’s Regional Development Officers in relation to club need in specific target areas. Target locations were selected based on rugby union growth potential, World Cup locations and areas of social deprivation.

Can my school join CBRE All Schools?
If your school is interested in joining the programme please email schools@rfu.com.

Is Prince Harry involved in CBRE All Schools?
Yes, Prince Harry is Patron of All Schools. This patronage allows Prince Harry to combine his passion for rugby with his work to help children and young people in society to build their skills, confidence and aspirations. Prince Harry recognises that rugby can play an important role in helping to achieve this.

Who else supports CBRE All Schools?
All Schools is generously supported by CBRE, the commercial property advisor, as Principle Partner. Over 200 CBRE employees are volunteering with the programme as coaches, referees or activators. Canterbury is an Official Partner delivering bespoke kit design workshops for every school in the programme. We are very grateful for their support as well as that of Gilbert, OPRO, Comic Relief and ICAP. We also have a number of ambassadors for CBRE All Schools including World Cup winners Jonny Wilkinson and Maggie Alphonsi. Find out more about our ambassadors here.

How is CBRE All Schools funded?
CBRE All Schools will cost £10 million to implement, with the money to be raised through RFU investment, sponsorship and fundraising. The RFU have made an initial commitment of £2 million and a fundraising campaign has been launched, which will include a range of fundraising events and activities, as well as high-profile supporters such as Jason Leonard, Andi Peters, Maggie Alphonsi and Jonny Wilkinson. The RFU is committed to building this legacy but we cannot do it alone.
